Literature Text

I can see a light growing yonder these rolling hills of wheat grass. Here it comes, growing, into my field of vision. But what ho? It is a young girl, so enchanting but yet unknown. Could it be my eyes deceive me? Could it be that the light over yonder is just a trick of the sun? Or, for chance, could it be that God is telling me that that girl is good, righteous, and just under his skies? I study, as I may, for if the looks deceive you, then actions tell the truth. Oh her graceful walk; her dexterity in step. She holds her hand to her cheek when she laughs. Oh and look! By all the angels in heaven! She defends another, look at how she steps in-between the culprits and the victim. Oh if I was only there: to hear the words said and to watch as the true souls of the culprits were pulled out by this fair maiden. But no, I watch from afar and let my thoughts speak for myself. Oh if only I could but talk to this angle. If only I may know her soul. If only I could, I would indubitably fall in love with her. If only she could love me too.
If only.
